Ordering something is one of the easiest places to start using Welsh in public, because the script barely changes.
The core pattern
Ga i… plis? means May I have… please? Slot in coffi, te, dŵr or cacen and you have a complete, polite order.
Small extras that help
Diolch (thanks), diolch yn fawr (thanks very much), and dyna'r cyfan (that's everything) round the exchange off neatly.
